SPEAKING: Ask the Expert
1. Please write 4 things you are an expert in (3 min)

2. Circle the two things you think are most interesting to the other students in the class.
3. Now, we will ask you about those areas you are an expert in.
Remember, when asking questions:
a. follow the grammatical pattern
* for yes/no questions:
Auxiliar + subject + verb or complement?

Can you explain that again?

Should I repeat it if it is wrong?
* For Wh-questions:
Wh-word + auxiliar + subject + complement?

V. WRITING: Summaries
*A good summary condenses the original text.
*A good summary includes only the most important information. The main ideas in the original text.
*A good summary includes only what is in the original text. I does not include opinions or other information.
*A good summary is written in the writer´s own words.
*A good sumary is well-written (complete sentences, punctuation, connectors, etc.)
Avoid:
*Avoid the use of first person: I, we.
*Avoid giving your opinion.
*Avoid begining with: "The reading is about...", "I read..." Begin with information from the text.
