The Simple Present used to indicate Future
Remember:
The Simple Present is a tense used to:
a. Express habits I exercise everyday.
She eats lunch at the cafeteria on weekdays.
b. Facts/general truths London is a large city. Water boils at 100 Degrees Celsius.
c. To give instructions or directions:
You walk 200 meters and then turn left.
d. TO SPEAK ABOUT THE FUTURE
Fixed events: It´s 8 a.m. Your exam starts at 9:00 a.m.
Timetables: It´s noon now. The trains leaves at 3:00 p.m.
To express future time after some conjunctions: after, when, before, as soon as, until:
He will give it to you when you come next Saturday.
He is going to give it to me as soon as you tell him.
